The success of Buffalo Machinery at TIMTOS 2019

2019 Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) was successfully rounded off on March 9th at four exhibition halls — TWTC Hall 1 and Hall 3, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 and Hall 2. This year, TIMTOS becomes the world’s 3rd largest machine tool show with 1,230 exhibitors and 7,000 booths joined this exhibition.  According to official information, TIMTOS attracted 7,511 foreign buyers in 2019 which was a 2.3% rise from 2017 and China, Japan, India, Malaysia, Russia, USA, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and Egypt were the top ten sources of visitors to TIMTOS 2019. As overseas visitors continue to grow, the statistic from TAITRA shows that there was a significant increase in visitors from India and Russia, moreover, this was the first time that Egypt became the top ten countries contributing visitors. A growth in exhibition size and scale, and the number of visitors, TIMTOS established a new high record in the Taiwan exhibition’s history.

This year, TIMTOS highlighted “Industry 4.0” and “Smart Manufacturing”. With the trend of Industry 4.0, TIMTOS aims to provide integrated systems and digital solutions with machine tools for manufacturers to achieve automated production. As Industry 4.0 is the important part in TIMTOS, exhibitors demonstrated Industry 4.0 solutions, such as sensors, industrial robots and IoT to help users of machine tool to monitor machine and detect malfunction, with the integrated system, production lines can be more efficient and automatic.

Meanwhile, TAITRA organized the TIMTOS Summit to assist manufacturers to face the challenges form Industry 4.0 and topics included ‘Machine Intelligence and Iot’, ‘Additive Manufacturing’, ‘Automotive Manufacturing Revolution’ and ‘Innovation in Aerospace Manufacturing’. With the latest information from top executives and industry experts, TIMTOS Summit provided insightful information for attendees.

Buffalo Machinery is always in the direction of Industry 4.0. With the long-term effort, Buffalo Machinery has launched a high-end brand, AXILE which is a highly productive machine with high-speed 5-Axis technology in 2017. Furthermore, Buffalo Machinery developed AXILE Reliability Technology™ (ART™), the great digital solution to machine reliability, predictability, and automation. The ARTTM can predict future condition of the machine, decrease machine downtime and optimize machine performance. These amazing technologies have been displayed at Buffalo Machinery’s booth and attracted many visitors.

During the exhibition, 50 Buffalo’s global distributors visited Buffalo’s booth for business meeting. Additionally, about 600 visitors were attracted by Buffalo’s booth and around 80 potential distributors and end-users visited the booth, all of them were highly interested in AXILE G series (High-Speed 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center) and V series (High-Speed Vertical Machining Center) and the total solution for AXILE products, ARTTM System. Buffalo Machinery also exhibited Microcut at the booth, including M1050 (Vertical Machining Center), BNC-2660 (The double box way flat-bed lathe) and LD-65 (Twin-Spindle Single-Turret Slant-Bed Lathe), which provided different product lines for visitors when considering a high-quality machine tool.

Since Industry 4.0 has a great impact on the machinery industry, with innovation and evolution, Buffalo Machinery will continue making technological progress and walk towards smart manufacturing.

AXILE Symposium 2019 - How Industry 4.0 can Enhance the Profitable Productivity

AXILE Symposium was held at Taipei Garden Hotel on 3rd March with the theme of how Industry 4.0 can enhance profitable productivity. There are 50 participants, including AXILE global distributors and suppliers. The symposium is organized by Buffalo Machinery with an aim to highlight the importance of Industry 4.0 and its practical use. Buffalo Machinery released its updated products and technology and demonstrated the easy access platform of ARTTM system. Meanwhile, it is very honor to have the keynote speakers from Siemens, Schaeffler, and Heidenhain to share the updated information and technology about Industry 4.0 and its benefits.

At the beginning of symposium, Buffalo Machinery updated the AXILE product news, including high-end 5X products G series and DC12, followed by the presentation and demonstration of AXLIE Reliability Technology, the ARTTM system, which is a great solution to machine reliability, predictability, and automation. The AXILE machine with ARTTM technology can always facilitate management with productivity enhancement and service cost reduction. For example, with ARTTM system, users can predict the future condition of the machine, thus, it can minimize the machine downtime, decrease maintenance cost and optimize machine performance.

At the symposium, Mr. Tino Hildebrand, the Vice President of Siemens Taiwan presented “Embracing Industry 4.0 and Transform towards a Digital Future with Siemens”. And the Specialist of application and industrial automation from Schaeffler, Mr. Adrian Loeber shared with the audiences “Boost Productivity and save costs by Schaeffler Industry 4.0 products.” Also, two top managers from Heidenhain, Mr. Thomas Gsodl presented the “Machine tool integrated in modern manufacturing environment” while Mr. Peter Topol demonstrated the benefit from innovative machining with the TNC 640 for aerospace production tasks. All presentations attracted a lot of attention from the audiences and brought out very actively discussions.

Thanks to all honored speakers for their contribution to AXILE Symposium, especially they brought practical application of Industry 4.0 for all attendees. AXILE Symposium 2019 emphasized that Industry 4.0 plays a critical role in the manufacturing environment, it has a great impact on the market. With the trend of Industry 4.0, together we are toward a smart future.
