Statement- Strengthening Export Controls, Firmly Opposing Products Flowing into Military Use

In response to a recent Ukrainian investigation report indicating that Russian military industries are still using Taiwanese products, which may be machinery exported prior to 2022, our company hereby issues the following statement:

Since 2023, Buffalo Machinery Co., LTD. has fully prohibited any products from being directly exported or re-exported via third-party traders to Russia and other controlled regions.

Buffalo has implemented a rigorous internal control mechanism, conducting thorough screenings of transaction counterparts and enforcing strict management of export products to ensure they are not used for military purposes. Besides, larger and high-priced models typically also involve our technical personnel going to the client site for installation and to confirm the intended usage. Additionally, every export is processed with an SHTC application to comply with Taiwan’s government export regulations.

We will investigate related traders, verify end users, and assess resale risks. If any traders are found to have violated relevant regulations, Buffalo will take necessary legal action to protect the company’s interests. Buffalo Co., Ltd. firmly opposes the use of its products for any military purposes and will continue to cooperate with relevant authorities to ensure the strict enforcement of export control measures.
